Ⅰ、 Introduction to the basics of colored masterbatch
1. Definition
Colored masterbatch (color masterbatch) is a colored particle made from high proportion pigments/dyes, carrier resins, dispersants, and additives through high-temperature mixing, extrusion granulation, and is a specialized coloring material for the plastic industry. When used, mix and melt plastic materials such as PE, PP, ABS, PVC, etc. in proportion and natural color to evenly color plastic products, replacing direct powder color matching. It is clean, stable, and easy to operate.
2. Main components
(1)The carrier resin is consistent with the plastic substrate to be colored (PP carrier, PE carrier, ABS carrier, etc.), with good compatibility, no precipitation or layering, and auxiliary pigment dispersion.
(2)Coloring pigments (core) are divided into inorganic pigments, organic pigments, pearl powder, carbon black, fluorescent dyes, metal pigments, etc., which determine the color depth, temperature resistance, and weather resistance.
(3)Dispersing agents such as polyethylene wax and stearic acid salts can disperse pigments and prevent color spots and blemishes in the product.
(4)Functional additives include antioxidants, anti UV agents, toughening agents, anti-static agents, which balance coloring and product performance.
3. Core advantages of the product

(2)The pigment is fully dispersed, and there are no blemishes or color lines during injection molding, film blowing, and wire drawing;

4. Regular use of addition ratio
Ordinary light color series: 1% to 2%
Dark color, high coverage (black, deep blue, big red): 3% to 5%
High concentration dark masterbatch: 0.5% to 1.5%
5. Common classifications
(1)According to the carrier resin, it is divided into PE masterbatch, PP masterbatch, ABS masterbatch, PVC masterbatch, and PET masterbatch, which are respectively adapted to corresponding plastic raw materials.
(2)Classified by function, it can be divided into ordinary universal colorants, high weather resistant outdoor colorants, food contact grade colorants, high gloss colorants, matte colorants, fluorescent colorants, pearl colorants, and conductive black colorants.
(3)Classify standard colorants, high concentration colorants, and super concentration colorants according to concentration.

1. Special color masterbatch for PP products
Compatible with polypropylene raw materials, shared with PP filling masterbatch
Injection molding: plastic turnover boxes, plastic tables and chairs, storage boxes, home appliance casings, plastic toys, automotive interior parts;
Wire drawing and weaving: woven bags, ton bags, plastic flat wires, packing ropes, fishing nets, non-woven fabrics, mask fabrics;
Blister sheets: disposable colored lunch boxes, plastic pads, PP decorative boards.
2. Special color masterbatch for PE products
Compatible with HDPE/LDPE/LLDPE, with maximum usage for film and blow molding
Blown film: colored shopping bags, courier bags, colored plastic films, packaging liner films, wrapping films;
Blow molded hollow: colored plastic buckets, daily chemical bottles, chemical buckets, plastic water tanks, laundry detergent bottles;
Pipe profiles: colored PE conduit, corrugated pipe, garden irrigation pipe;
Extrusion drawing: colored tying rope, geonet, breeding net.
3. Injection molded hard rubber masterbatch (ABS/PS)
Household appliance shells, toys, keyboard shells, charger shells, hard plastic shells for daily necessities, luggage cases, require high gloss and bright colors.

Ⅲ、 Matching and usage instructions
1. It can be mixed with PP/PE filling masterbatch and used together. First mix the color masterbatch, then add the filling masterbatch, stir evenly, and then machine;
2. It is recommended to use highly dispersed colorants for high filling products to prevent the influence of calcium powder on pigment dispersion and the occurrence of color spots;
3. Outdoor products should preferably use weather resistant colorants to avoid long-term sun exposure and fading;
4. Different substrates cannot be mixed with colorants, for example, PP colorants cannot be used for ABS, which may cause delamination, color difference, and precipitation.
